Truffle Black Summer Tuber Aestivum

A popular truffle which is used extensively in Italian cooking. Black in colour with a distinctive bumpy exterior, its interior nutty hued flesh is lighter than other black varieties. The distinctive truffle aroma has notes of earthiness, hazelnut and vanilla, and deepens as the truffle matures. Slice thinly over leaves for a decadent salad or mix with olive oil and add to cooked dishes.
