Onion Roscoff

A pale rose-hued onion with a mild flavour, the Roscoff hails from France and adds delicate sweet and mustard notes to dishes. Crunchy and sweet enough to be enjoyed raw it cooks well, turning silkily smooth and fragrant. One of the few varieties of onions which won't bring you to tears, which may be recommendation enough.
